In response to the theme of material of time, I draw a storyboard with a story “I” enter a special space and see different fragments floating on the sky, and each fragment all show “me” in different periods of time. Combined different fragment together, it will mix together so “I” will see the young version and old version in one fragment.
By drawing this storyboard I am considering the fictive time, as human we cannot really interact with ourselves in the past or in the future, we don’t know what appearance we will have in the future, and we cannot remember the past if we don’t have photos or videos recorded. However for imagination of time and combined with real time of human growth, we will get new experience.
The related work that gives me inspiration is Doraemon (1980).This is a famous animation in Japan. The original manga is written in 1969 and later in 1980 it made into animation. The main character in the story is a cat and he got a time machine, while he used time machine, we can see different time periods. There are some episodes talking about use time machine to travel to the past to talk with people in the past, and also they travel to the future to see what will happen. Some scenes are really touched and meaningful.
