A short vignette in which the peaceful world of Triangles is disrupted by the arrival of a different shape.
Triangles Circle is a reversal of a scene I wrote for my first script in Animated Narratives.
Working in TVPaint the sequence became a search to find the right movement and shapes to create a set of panicking characters. "Stretch and squash" applied to the traingles lost something of their esential form/nature, likewise a shaking line created elderly traingles rather that panic.
Trajectories were also important. Moving them outward in straight lines was too purposeful for panic. The most successful movements required random and rapid sideways movements followed by departure, with the Triangles retaining their original shapes. I used blurred inbetween frames as discussed with Ben Mansur to assist the frenzied movements.
A soundtrack is still needed to complete this sequence.
