In this week's iteration, I tried to animate both compositions and texture to present the motion. The initial design of ice is a whole block, while in the next iteration I created a fractured version that has more components to be animated. The sink & show motion dualist is like two processes of the same looping. So my idea is to design the animation loop first as the main motion, then change the movement of each cracked piece as sub-motions. In the process of the sink, I animated the blur attribute of the shader to enhance the feel disappearing in the water generally. As for the texture of showing up, the transparency of the glint layer is animated. Compared with the initial version, the last iteration have compositions, the blended motion and the animated texture effect which can make this mechanic more persuasive to players.
