Like the walk and the run animation, the jump animation was also something that I tried during the first half of the semester. I tried to build on my previous response and created two variations of the jump animations with varing speeds.
Along with using my previous trial as reference, I also used a couple of example from other 2D games from my related work games mentioned above. I tried to replicate those references to come up with something that I liked and wanted to put in my game.
From these two animations, I like the one on the top-center better. It has a nice effect of take-off and landing, whereas the animation in the bottom has a lot of bend on her body, which makes the jump animations look a little weird.
