Week 3
In response to the theme of found object, I used some old stuff at home to put them together into a new scene or landscape.
By putting some old stuff into a new landscape or art work I want to show that some useless old stuff may also bring benefits and inspiration on design. Though my family is not using these things anymore, we may still enjoy them in a different way.
Similar work has been produced by Goshka Macuga (https://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-britain/exhibition/art-now-goshka-macuga), she did not actually use old stuff, but she is also combining different objects into a new environment.
Sandy Babb (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lD5leMAsYM&t=165s). She has collected plenty of found objects, not only restricted to old stuffs. She was actually combined different objects into a new useful handcraft. The craft are beautiful as well.
