I will take the way of animation production, and it is worth mentioning that this is my first independent animation production, there may be many shortcomings, but gradually optimize this project in the follow-up study and update.
In this project, first of all, I need to master some painting skills. I hope I can increase my picture expressiveness through vivid animals. Secondly, I need to try to improve the content richness through shot switching and scene changes within the animation duration.
Now I'll explain the theme and the source of inspiration:
The background comes from a piece of news: the studio that once made the animated film "ice age" is about to close due to the economic downturn caused by the popularity of COVID-19. As one of my favorite animated films in my childhood, I hope to commemorate it in my own way.On the theme, we will choose the theme of calling for environmental protection and resisting climate warming. The main idea of the story is that human destruction of the environment leads to climate warming, melting glaciers and desertification. The story of the protagonist (a Penguin) looking for glaciers in the desert
In this project, my work will focus on the logic and continuity of the animation, and through the switching between the camera and the scene, I want to express the little penguin's sadness and longing for the original home when they lost their home. So I want to show the theme: call on everyone to protect the environment, do their best to contribute to the protection of the environment
In terms of painting style, I will learn from the ice age and the Penguins of Madagascar. Feel their production style, painting style and animation style
As for the content performance, I will sum up some experience of the failure of public service advertising (as we all know, public service advertising generally no one will seriously think about it), hoping to make the content avoid boring and meaningless
First of all, I will divide my work into the following stages: 1. Collect information and Research (about the reasons why some public service ads are not paid attention to and how to increase the content interest level); 2. Design of characters and background (need to listen to some opinions and suggestions in studio); 3. Animation production (need the teacher's guidance in studio); 4. Optimize the details of animation, such as coherence and background music tone Try, whether the way of emotional expression is appropriate, etc
According to my plan,I may need to use :
1.RMIT library (Collect some academic materials about how public service ads attract audiences) ---- one week
2.Photoshop (Painting and optimizing characters and backgrounds）----one week
3.Zbrush or Maya(Modeling and mapping)----one week
4.CINEMA4D(Animation production)----one week
5.Adobe After Effects(Debug animation effect and output finished product)----one week
