Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

For my week one object I disected my bubble tea and produced a series of highly scientific sketches using pencil and liner on paper.

Through this work I contemplated the scientific method as an approach to understanding mundane objects, as well as the inherent comedy in the over articulation of a simple item.

I drew inspiration from the Dragonology (Drake and Steer 2003) series of children's books. In particular Douglas Carrel's illustrated anatomical studies always stood out to me from among artworks by various illustrators. I feel there is a sense of novelty and wonder in the creation of pseudoscientific methadology surrounding fantasy creatures.
