Moving forward from my Folio 1 I intend to improve my process within AR development.

For folio 2 I want to:

  • Start developing a physical object that can be detected by a camera to augment a virtual world
  • Designing a virtual world by creating level design concepts for an augmented world
  • Research the possibility of detecting physical objects if they have been added or removed through script on unity
  • Using 3D printing as a medium for the user to have a physical interaction with these objects to affect the virtual world
  • Try various techniques to smooth my 3D models and paint them for Vuforia Object Tracking

This area still sits within the AR space, but I will be branching out towards 3D printing and its uses with AR. There are many games that inspire me and use some of the game mechanics that I could apply in my project, some of these games are Anti-chamber, Rumu, Journey and Never Alone, these games uses game mechanics to convey story-telling and emotion. Throughout the entirety of the next 5 weeks I will be hopping from one development aspect of my work to another to reach my goal.
