In response to the theme of forces, I made animated collages using tv paint and googles images of forests.
By keeping to the rules, (subjects matter: forrests, snipping with only the rectangle/square option while animating in a paper cut out type way), I showed that a coherent style can emerge by adhering to certain limits. With the specific forces in place chances to be creative were greatly improved.
Similar work has been produced by South Park: "It used physical cut-out animation with puppets made out of sugar paper. In 1995 Parker and Stone were asked to create a second Spirit of Christmas short which could be sent as a digital e-card.
The creators originally intended to animate every episode using paper cut-out animation but found out it would be too labor intensive and thus only the first episode used this technique."
