Visualising measures

I'm looking at the design for a good macro and micro reading of the information. Taking inspiration from Re:collection's archives, this design for Myer employees with 25 years service can be see from a distance with the number 25 clearly discernable, or up close with the name and details of the even legible and comprehensible.

The measurements for dry and wet ingredients are given in standardised cup sizes, with standard measures of three or two cups, one, half, third or quarter cup. The sketches below are my starting point for applying this effect to representations of measures. The left page of sketches of representations of measures of ingredients that come in whole and portions for example 1 cup or 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon or 2 tablespoons of butter and 250g or 500g of cream cheese. The right page is sketches for representation of ingredients that come in small whole or partial quanities, for example, 1 leek and 1/2 a cauliflower, 1 or 2 eggs, 375ml fruit juice.
