RATIONALE – why are you doing what you are doing?
The Sketch was to determine the general look and style of the animals, and the Animation test was to test to determine which software was more feasible and convenient. In this week, I drew some sketch about the characters, because in this animation, I didn't have characters, but some small animals, and none of them is the absolute protagonist, they all act as a part of an animation, so I drew some sketch first, to determine a general appearance, then finally in the software through the ink brush to I drew them, and they will have a unified style in the end. In addition, I did some Animation tests to test which software to use, this week I tried PS and Toonboom.

CONTEXT – who else is doing what you are doing?
Randy Gossman writed in “Design” part of his article “The Animation Production Process” in 2012. “This is where a signature style is developed for the project. Design can happen at any time in the pre-production phase and ranges from characters to environments to clothing to props and vehicles. Guides (such as character bibles) are created to enable artists to draw or digitally sculpt elements within the design parameters. Conceptual paintings are done to establish design of environments and setting ambiance. “

METHODS – how will you do what you are doing?
For the Sketch, I usually like to draw on paper with a pencil because I can quickly jot down the ideas that come to me on the subway or in a coffee shop. For the Animation test I first tried to use PS to make the animation, because I needed to make an animation without background and then cut and paste them on top of the real video. However, I didn't find the right way to export in PS, so my frame rate was not quite right and I couldn't do it without the background. With Moon's suggestion, I decided to try Toonboom and clip studio next week.

OUTCOMES – what are the tangible objects that must be made to articulate success?

During this week, my goal for myself was to have to make alternative drafts and settle on one version as the style in the middle. Secondly, I tried to use PS to make it, because the ink brush in PS is more convenient and fits my style position this time.
