Studio1_Folio2 plan post

1 RATIONALE: Intention  

In the next few weeks, I’ll stick to practising transitions. Not only the transition between the scenes but also the objects. I want to explore the method of how to smooth the transformation between two objects. In my folio 2 projects, I’ll focus on creating the animation loops with daily life humour, such as homophonic phrases. I'll pick different phrases, and present them through animations. Besides, I hope I could combine VFX practices and transition skills to present animations with higher qualities. At last, I want to learn to create my own sound effects in folio 2.Hope the matching sound effect could enhance the illusions of my animations.

 2 CONTEXT: Field 

The transitions of films are the technique in terms of editing. It could make a film more smooth and neat. Besides, the transition also could enhance the storytelling. Many different types of transitions have been employed since the early years of cinema. I explored some different types of transitions in folio1, I will keep exploring more and consolidate the old ones. 

3 METHOD: Conceptual, Technical, Craft & Management

I will pick up different phrases in our daily life and present via animation. By using 3d software create different scenes and rendering it into 2d styles. Then combine it with 2d elements in animation software. I already have my first scene planed, and it is already in processes in week 7, but I haven't thought other scenes ahead. I will finish the Wine O'clock scenes and plan the next few scenes in week 8. I hope I could finish three or more phrases animation in folio2.

4 PRODUCTION: Tools

At present, I already finished my storyboard of scene 1, started creating 3d scenes in C4d and tested 2d shading in C4d. After finish my scene I will combine it in 2d animation software and add 2d elements. I will keep learning 3d skills and hope I could explore VFX skills during the new folio.

In addition, sound effects also will be explored in this folio as what I have done in folio1. But, I want to take a further step by recording and editing my sound effects, since it is hard to find a free match sound for my animation every time. I hope I could be engaged with sound effects creating in this folio.
