For my minor project, i'm at the stage where I am constructing the animatics for the final gifs
One of my biggest issues with Adobe Animate is that the drawing capabilities in the software do not give me the desired aesthetic with my drawing style - pen tapering, smoothing and general control over the drawing tools are subpar compared to Photoshop in my skillset
So I exported the animation frames (the sketch/skeleton frames) from Animate, imported them into Photoshop, and refined the linework into the rough animatic there
This didn't take long at all, especially with a simplifed linework aesthetic. This has given me an animatic that I'm pretty happy with, and that I can use as the blueprint for the final gifs
The next stage over the next 4 weeks will be refining the backgrounds and consolidating the animation for each gif
