Kill la Kill is one of my favourite animes that I have seen. It is about Ryuki Matoi, a student at Honnouji Academy searching for her father's killer, and the bond she has with her sentient, superpowered school uniform, Senketsu.
Kill la Kill is an important piece of anime production because of one of the video's points: using animation in creative and innovative ways to tell a story and evoke feelings from the viewer. The show jumps between using extremely detailed and carefully framed sequences that have be key framed down to the last line, and using more simplistic 2D rigging techniques to slide characters or scale them up and down in size.
something else that is super important for me is Imaishi's personal animation style. As seen in Kill la Kill, especially in the fight sequences, he does amazing work in exploiting animation principles to create a visually unique production. In particular, how he exaggerates scenes in the show make Kill la Kill visually striking and also become humorous for the viewer.
