This week my goal is to cement my visual treatment and pipeline. I will allow myself this week for experimentation and playing with different ways to complete the project, because next week I need to be well and truly into production.
On Monday and Tuesday I sourced and took photos of urban environments, and began to compile them in a collage-style. I wish to adapt this style in some way, but need to carefully approach the level of detail of the background so as not to retract impact from my scenes.
On Wednesday, as per Jeremy's suggestion, I did an animation test with a paper cut-out animation approach. This provided a nice, naturally 'wonky' motion, but I am not convinced that this approach will allow me the level of control I desire in playing with visual finish. For the rest of the day, I will experiment with a Photoshop -> Harmony pipeline.
Testing continues!
