TITLE
WE ARE ALL UNIQUE
INQUIRY
Would an interactive art installation enrich the conscious of the way people treat others?
We are all unique; it’s a project which, through technology, interactivity, projection mapping, and 3D sculpting and animation, is looking to enrich consciousness in the effect of our words on other people.
Sometimes we believe that making jokes about the other’s appearance, about their mistakes or preferences, is just that a joke, but we do not realize that our comments and daily actions leave a mark on others. It is up to us to decide if we want that mark to be negative or positive. Therefore, I’m working on an art installation where the audience will see that their actions have consequences.
METHOD
I mode de 3D models in Zbrush and Blender, the animation in Blender, and the physical art with paper.
For the sound, I will be working in collaboration with Mark Hooper.
I chose to design an installation because of different reasons. Still, mainly because to reach the impact that I’m looking for, it’s essential that the audience enters into the full experience rather than just observing. And because art installations are temporary, “it can interrupt and revive important aspects of their spiritual walk that have fallen out of consciousness.” and with we are all unique, I’m looking at transforming behaviors, spreading tolerance and respect.
CONTEXT
Paper Art:
This was one of my favorite ones because besides how beautiful it is, it use paper and the flowers react in a positive way when the audience walk next to it [ Blooming } Paper Art Interactive Installation
What made me: This is an installation that even though looks simple, I like the concept very much; I like that the audience have the chance to show their feelings, their thoughst.. and with everyone’s answers, the art piece it’s created.

JEM: This makes me think that if I had the resources to make it bigger (more projectors and a bigger place), I would like the people to feel like they are inside of a human body
