iDumb is a 3D animation compiling a series of comedic shorts. This short explores the idea of minimalism, subtle motion, looping, framing, composition in animation. It is rather an experimentation with animation than creating a full narrative.
*It is a work in progress, more to come.
The characters are inspired from flower vase. This is my studio project for this semester and my inquiry is as follows:
How ‘minimalism’ is used to create 3D Animation?
- How to create a series of comedic shorts with little use of animation?
- How the principles of framing & composition are applied to stylise the minimalistic 3D Animation?
- How ‘subtle motion’ and ‘looping’ are used to create motion in 3D Animation?
