Question

How impossible game level present a false impression of believability when the player interact with the impossible objects

Context

I research the existing impossible objects that in graphic illustration and 3D modeling possibility. My practice has been focusing on experimenting impossible objects and motions in unity.

The game level is embeded in a huge a verticle wall that creat negative space. I set the camera in specific angel and view in orthographic projection so that the object present the same size in different distance.

I design the game level concept with 3 type of impossible objects. Also, I explore the puzzles with water by using water as a game mechanics rather than a decoration. I want to makes some difference from “Monument Valley” which is the work I related. 

Ploblems

I use the NavMesh in Unity, but I meet some problem with the ladder system. The player can't climb on the veritcal ladder with NavMesh. Then, I set a trigger to disable NavMesh when the player enter the tigger. While, it still doesn't work.
