- I scope down the abstract drawing I'm going to animate: 18 out of 130. I narrow down the selection base on the cohesion of the aesthetic. I can focus more on the quality of the final piece rather than the quantity.
- I also changed the intensity of the animation. My initial idea was putting the drawing in the order that I created them, and express the animation in term of the name of the smells. However, after several times testing, I decided to take out the name and express them by how the smells affect in the scale from Loaded Good - Good - Neutral - Bad and Loaded Bad. This make me easier to mix the order of single sequences and create more engaging flow.
- I'm removing unnecessary movements and long pausing.
- I'm testing out many solutions for the idea of Smell by simulating the action of Inhale and Exhale of the nose, and I'm also working on the shape-shifting and color shifting from back and white into colors
- It's the first time I'm working with a sound designer so we have to figure out efficent workflow and learn how to match the sound with the aesthetic to reach the final expectation.
