Microsoft Icons is a showcase film of Microsoft new UI design. The short film is designed and animated by Tendril.

Tendril has taken a simplified approach to experiment with geometric design. The development of the short film highly focuses on documenting and representing the concept behind each UI design by Microsoft.

By using the metaphor of colour, environment and light, Tendril presented the careful thinking and developing process behind Microsoft UI design.

The project is a perfect source of visual reference. The short film has presented gorgeous scenes with a simplified and elegant design approach. The light, shadow and the overall presentation of the atmosphere are what I like the most about this project.
