Untravel is a cinematic music video created by Misha Shyukin and musician Rival Consoles. By creating several surreal, dreamy and abstract environment, Misha has represented the emotion of lost in an unknown landscape. The red colour of light, together with music, have enhanced the feeling of lost throughout the journey.
The project has given me lots of inspirations in expressing emotions abstractly. Using a combination of landscape and colour, the designer has directed the emotions in the video in a linear way. Although evil may not be the exact emotion Misha is trying to express, the colour combinations have given me inspiration about how the colour may play out in design pieces.
The work itself has been accepted and favoured but not limited to its youtube comment section. Many audiences have expressed that they have experienced concepts that are hard to describe for them, such as space, time, reality, death and memories. I personally really like the video as well, and it is one of my favourite animation/music videos in 2020.
