1 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Breath of the Wild is an action-adventure game set in an open-world environment where players are tasked with exploring the kingdom of Hyrule while controlling Link. Breath of the Wild has done a particularly valuable thing, which is to outline the strong details of the art style in the simplest way. It is not meticulous, but very delicate. Under such an inadequate function, the picture you see is beautiful enough, and it can support the real-time interaction between the visual elements and the physics engine required by the open world of the game. Breath of the Wild using the emerging non-photorealistic rendering (NPR) technology available which is a very interesting field.

2 Pencil+

Pencil+ 4 for 3ds Max and Maya is a non-photorealistic rendering plugin which can reproduce the appearance of pen-and-ink and colour pencils drawings as well as animation cels. It can quickly draw lines even for complex scenes with thousands of overlapping objects. There are so many animations have used this plugin like ‘underdog’ ‘Kado: The Right Answer’ ‘your name’ etc. the latest version of Pencil+ introduces massive speed increases, Nitrous viewport display, material penetration, new edge detection settings and more, further improving workflows and opening up new kinds of expressions.

3 Love, Death, and Robots

"Love, Death, and Robots" is a collection of animated short films produced by David Finch and Tim Miller. They have always wanted to bring together different artists from all over the world to form a series of episodes with short animation works of different lengths. The sixth episode of "When the Yogurt Took Over" mainly focuses on examining human behaviour from a non-human perspective, but this time the brain is bigger because this higher-level intelligent creature is a mutated yogurt instead of The clichéd robot future alien. This work informs us when an animated brain hole is indeed interesting enough, it can be successful despite the lack of plot.
