Steven Universe is a 2D animated series from Rebecca Sugar. It is very well known for the immersive storytelling and simplicity of the art style. Almost all episode of the series, the environment of Steven universe is always so simple yet so mesmerising. From a simple pink and orange colour gradient with volumetric light to deep starry space with light particles around the world.
This series is one of my biggest inspiration and influence to pursue in storytelling. But in my case, storytelling through post-production. I took Steven universe as an inspiration for the world properties for my folio 2 project. Where I use mostly orange and yellow colour palette to enhance the idea of complexity through simplicity.
