Black mirror is a live action anthology that feature 22 episodes throughout 5 seasons on Netflix. Like Love Death + Robots on my previous document, this anthology also collects different creative people to create a single episode of the anthology. The similarity between Black Mirror and Love Death + Robots is that they both explore the element of science fiction. The only difference is that Black Mirror is live-action instead of animations.
Black Mirror explores how technology can either fail us or aid us. In this case both. By using props and 3D models to create it’s environment as well as VFX compositing, it can show the believability of science fiction through CGI.
What interests me personally about this series are their choices of design. Everything in the film is very sleek and modern and not too overwhelming. All the VFX created suits very well with the films and it really inspires me to create and learn VFX on my own.
