experimenting with asset and data capture using only local environment

Reflection on methods:

• In choosing which tools to become an expert in and which to let go of my rationale was ‘less is more’ to narrow  what I can do within my constraints of budget, island living, etc. and my findings are that it is more enjoyable to have the tool as an extension of oneself rather than always being mindful of techniques and systems to keep the tool on track, so am going to pay the $ and go with Adobe apps with which I am familiar.

• Collecting video footage of local marine scenes around Russell Island, Redland Bay and Gold Coast I find my mind drifts to spectacular scenes obtainable from elsewhere BUT I want to use the local resources. In future I would like to go to different regional locations and so I think it is important to learn how to stretch what is locally available for locals to have relatability to my proposed Projection Mapping installations.

• I can cut, colour and zoom into my video captures to create effects:

• I want a lot more reference shots and imagery I can manipulate.
