Wind whips over the tips of dunes, spraying sheets of sand across the sky. We hear a low rumble and the ground shudders in anticipation. The desert stills.
Sand explodes into the sky as a gargantuan worm erupts from the earth, shrieking.

We see a sandbox in the corner of a faded playground. A child sits amongst the dirt, peering at the ground. In the sand, an earthworm wriggles and squirms helplessly.
