Today we were making thumbnails in an iterative design exercise. I really enjoyed this exercise when I found that I was developing little cartoonish characters rapidly that in a normal setting I would not even consider creating
I borrowed design qualities from animator Raman Djafari by using stylised lips, eyes and noses to exaggerate features and then added my own stylised accents around these figures
Something I want to clarify for myself for now is what my project is going to entail, what my timeline is going to look like, and how I will be presenting that in my pitch
I want to relax my tendencies to be extremely controlling in my artistic style at this early stage while I am still unsure of what I am making
But I plan to make an abstract 2D animated music video. I will reach out to some musician friends of mine and ask if I can borrow their music for my work
