I've reached out to Albert Salt, a musician whose music I used for my CPS archival object last semester. He has given me permission to choose any one of his songs to use for a music video for my Pre-Production folio. I have a few thoughts of what song I will ultimately use, including Glass Plains and Maybe, I. I want to choose a song that will give me a lot of creative freedom to work with in creating my bizarre music video
My projection for now is that this semester, I will be using PPP to prepare for Studio 3. I will then use Studio 3 to produce my music video. This will give me plenty of time to consolidate my art book, design characters, backgrounds, work on a storyboard and bring together something I could pitch to a company.
Today, in working on thumbnails, I took the opportunity to continue rapid iterations of some character designs that I doodled last week. I focused on having a running theme of lanky, rotund, goofy and cartoonish creatures, many of which are adapted from animal photo references. I need to now start considering the story of this object, and how the characters are involved in the world I am creating. This includes an additional character of the protagonist, who will be a goofy human that descends into a drunken stupor and sees the club that they are at is getting more and more bizarre.
I also need to work out the colour styling of this video.
