Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

This is where I currently am with animation (minus one shot that isn’t finished anyway). Seeing these all together is really good, it helps point out where maybe in one shot I did a better job at capturing movement than another, and now I can go back and touch them all up. This is close to a third of what needs to be animated for the final piece, and I am confident I’ll be able to get there by the end of semester, maybe if I get an extension.

Reflections per shot:

Shot 1 - the loops might be a bit obvious - might need to go in and add new frames every now and then to break it up. Otherwise pretty happy with it. Might be good to add a couple of more frames in when the rock thrower goes back to the standing loop so they don’t just snap right back into place.

Shot 2 - Undecided what to do. The shot is very very very simple but the narration over this scene is good and descriptive anyway?

Shot 3 - I’d like to add an action or two for the sitting people to do so they aren’t just nothing.

Shot 4 - This was a test shot of rippling water. Would like to completely revisit this animation with the new techniques I have come up with for the following shot.

Shot 5 - Unfinished, need two more characters. Loving it though, this shot is making me reconsider the timing of it, I want to show as much as possible of it. Really happy with how the water came out, not too realistic, not too cartoony. I feel like Goldilocks. Tried out a few new tricks in After Effects here that might make for a good workshop in fact.
