I'm still in-between two ideas at the moment for my Illustion of Life project: Music Visualisations (movement generated by audio) or Motion Visualisations (movement generated by real-time movement / data), so I have uploaded both.
Key Terms for Music Visualisations: Music visualisations; visual music; generative; audio-reactive; geometric; abstract; shapes; lines; tempo; rhythm; pitch; frequency; amplitude; timbre; harmony; form; structure.
Key Terms for Motion Visualisations: Motion visualisations; motion capture; motion sculpture; motion painting; kinetic, tracking; speed; performance; lines, form; timing; emotion.
I'm particularly drawn to abstract and geometric representations of music/motion, with a play on colour, shapes, lines and form. I'd also like to take this opportunity to learn how Processing can be used to algorithmically generate music / motion visualisations via creative coding techniques.
Some of my visual music heroes: Alexander Chen, Golan Levin, John Whitney, Paul Friedlander, Oskar Fischinger.
