Here are a couple of good examples of trailers and behind-the-scenes videos of other people's work:
SONGBIRD: a virtual moment of extinction / TRAILER from AniDox on Vimeo.
MaKey MaKey - An Invention Kit for Everyone from Makey Makey on Vimeo.
Some simple tips for your own videos: START documenting NOW...
1. Set up a Google Drive folder and EVERY week... add to it! Include:
- Stills of your work in progress
- Behind the scenes video and/or stills (photos): not only your work, what you need is people reacting to your work (your peer's facial expressions for example) and people using/interacting with your work).
- 'Hero' shots of your work: eg video or photos of your work as the central focus/main character
2. Get familiar with these types of shots (you will need many types of shots for a great edit)
I'll share tips and more videos soon and in Semester Two I'll run a hands on workshop - those of you stuck outside of the country right now, you won't miss out!
