Minji Moon Motion Graphic
One of the works I looked at is Minji Moon motion graphic collections. Her work has a very minimalist appeal. Despite the primary use of shapes, without lots of shading or texture, her work still looks very attractive. She also doesn’t put much into the background behind her characters. However, the way she uses her color is very smart and complex. There are lots of colors used for a flat design illustration. They also have significant contrast with each other.
Bertrand Todesco's illustration
This illustration inspires me on how to use color. The hair color of this character can be the shading for another character. Or the skin color of this character can be the hair color for another character. Some characters have lines on their hair and some characters don’t. Some characters have bigger eyes and some have smaller eyes. Even though the way the characters are drawn is not exactly 100% similar to each other, the overall look and feel are still very harmonious.
Joona Leppanen's motion graphic
This motion graphic piece is made by Joona Leppanen. What interests me is the way the smoke flies around the character's face. This is a very simple animation but it still manages to captivate people. The smoke is animated in a way that can emphasize the carefully drawn face. I guess the key is the nice-looking face of the character. I would say the animation is well done also. The smoke flies very dynamically. It is probably a frame-by-frame animation. This is exactly what I need: simple animation with dynamic.
