In week 4, I tried to depict the girl checking herself in the mirror. In the storyboard, this is a close-up shot that attempts to show the girl making sure of her perfect makeup and building her confidence.
I think it's worth exploring because it helps the audience quickly understand the character's characteristic and her mood. The first sequence focused on the girl’s cheek, the second on the earrings, and the third on the hat. In the first sequence, the girl put her hands on either side of his cheeks, looks at herself in the mirror, and shyly turns his face away. I think the sequence still needs work and maybe extra actions, because at this stage it just seems like the girl is fantasizing about someone and doesn't really get the point across to the audience: she is confident with her makeup. The earring sequence was the one I was most satisfied with, as the flicking of the earrings and the twisting of the head left and right made the clip coherent and vivid, fitting the image of a girl who is about to date. The hat sequence I think also does a nice try of conveying this message to the audience. However, considering that in the subsequent animation production, there is still a part of space reserved for the real characters in front of the right side of the shot, the hat may lead to the screen being too full, so the shot may need to be iterated, such as zooming out a little bit.
