In animation, characters mainly rely on their eyes to convey their emotions. I test different facial rigging methods and frame rates to achieve rich expressions of the character.

First, I tried to rotate the eyes’ lids to achieve the simplest animation effect. And to make the expression smoother and more logical, I build a facial rigging system. With the rigging system, I plan to make 4 expressions, anger, bored, surprise, and thinking. And test them at different frame rates, such as one frame per second, 6 frames per second, and 30 frames per second.

I try to convey the character’s angry mood by reducing the character’s pupil scale and sharpening the eyelids.
