For the studio 3 in this semester, I mainly work
around with an animation in detailed storyboard,
funny characters and a clear narrative structure. It
will be my first animation to focus on ‘tell story’ as I
paid more attention on experimental animation
before. I listed the important things to animation
design. And I would like to focus on character and
situation in IOL as it may be my lack part.
After watching the 12 principles of animation, the
secondary action is mentioned as an unforgettable
part. To connected those three things, I will use
different actions in character and situation design.
By drawing those short test, the rhythm of the story
and character’s core will be improved. Secondary
action can be directly linked with body language
since I don’t plan to draw detailed face for the
human character. Some funny auction such as
scratch the chin, look around, run faster are all
good point to discover.
