Sharing my ideation process

Beginning, I knew I wanted to look into environmental storytelling and the use of visuals to communicate a narrative. However, I didn’t quite have an idea yet and didn’t know where to start. Communicating with my peer helped me to focus on the process of ideation to develop my concept. Here is the concept Orlando came up with for me, a game where you explore your breakfast plate in miniature size, everything is massive in comparison, a very different view on everyday breakfast.

Start

• Start looking at various ways I can approach my interest in environmental storytelling.

• Start focussing on my goals for the project.

• Start thinking about which medium would suit my needs best.

Stop

• Worrying about having a clear and solid idea at this stage.

• Stop thinking on such a broad scale, I need to be more comfortable reducing the scope.

Keep

• My interest in visuals and narrative.

• Looking into the idea of storytelling in a meaning
