IOL_S1_2021 week 01 Illusion

Aim:

I want to make a prototype of one plot in my studio project – seed & baby, I will not put it into my studio work, but it is a nice concept attempt for exploration on expressing by some dynamic transformation and the fusion of brushstrokes and this work, which is also an exploration of style.

Method:  

-TVPaint

-I tried to paint an ink wash painting style as background which would be applied into my studio project, I also tested many kinds of brushes in TVPaint in order to make some of art style suitable for the change of the plot and the expression of emotion.

Result:

This is a short 2d animation video which is also a loop. The only drawback is --- in this week, I have not bought TVPaintyet, so I’m unable to re-open it because it cannot be saved and exported. Link to my work: https://vimeo.com/589456144

Reflection:

At this time, I’m also interested in Chinese ink wash painting style which is the subject of my research, therefore, I paint the background by trying this style as practice. Meanwhile, I use plenty of transmutation/metamorphose into my studio project, I will do lots of related practice to be proficient in dynamic drawing.
