Heiracry
Aim: To Create an animatiion based around heriacry.
I also wanted to see what that meant with the way i interacted with the Characters
When I first thought of the topic i thought of Robot , espically the ones found in the early sonic games. so i wanted to try animating at least one of them.
I also thought of the robots that can walk themselves that are produced by boston Dynamics produce
Method:
In animate i drew individual parts of the 'bodies' and joined them togther using animates layer heirarchy system
Response
The response was two short animations that exploredd diffrent things the first was about animating the actual heiracy structure itself animating the object detaching from the parent
Reflection
It was a good exercise and i enjoyed it though in hindsight trying to keep track of 15 layers of heirarchy gets tricky and i wished there was a way to more easily organize everything.
I also found myself wishing that you could parent only certain attributes individually (ie position or rotation ) similiar to waht most 3d programs let you do
