On the uni break, I teamed up with a programmer friend to make something for the GMTK Game Jam. The theme was basically 'genre without mechanic', so changing/removing a mechanic inherent in the chosen genre.
The concept we came up with was a platformer, but you control the platform rather than the character on the platform (a cloud carrying a rolling egg, while avoiding enemies). My friend wanted to learn how to use Godot, so that's what he used.. It mostly works, but due to time, it's not a fully functioning prototype. The work I did for it was sprite animation as well as a background image (took about 8 hours total in Photoshop). It was a lot of fun, and I learned a lot about sprite animation compared to the frame animation I've been doing this semester; it was also my first time working on a collaborative game project.
Unfortunately I can't upload the animated sprites, but trust me, they're very cute.
