Method

By using Blender, I made 3D tree models. I edit the footages and add the graphic in After Effects. 

Context

Fit(2017)

I inspired by Fit, which is the mobile game that player make shapes bigger and collect characters. I refer to the UI design of the Select page for different shapes and charters in this game.

Response

By changing the purpose of my studio project from an education game to a relaxing game, a change in the tree model was needed. I was able to get out of the real tree model and make a non-realistic tree model and I made three different versions of plants and floating islands. The user can choose one of the various trees and islands and grows it, and I have made a selection page by referring to the FIT game. I designed the shapes of trees and islands in the same concept so that users could wonder what a tree grew when the island was selected. 

Each tree has different characteristics. They can grow well if a player creates an optimized environment for each tree. There are different events in each tree to create the environment. For example, the second Ice tree grows better in a cold environment. Therefore, when a user grows an Ice tree, it replaces an event that snows instead of a rain.
