This week is about observed something while learning it. I have recorded the friend's movement and draw it on paper frames by frames. Maybe the animation might not clear but still can clearly see the movement. I didn’t plan for how to make this Zoetrope, that’s why my first test didn’t work out the way it should be. I have ongoing to develop the second test for a different method by searching out the right way to create this Zoetrope method. Zoetrope might not be relevant with my practice, but to record movement and observed the movement will be helpful for my game’s character animation sprite sheet.
This week is about tinkering to challenge with something without planning. I’m a beginner at using TvPaint. In this exercise I think is really helpful for trying new programs or a new method of being creative. This time I have a plan what kind of style of animation I want it to be an outline artwork. During the progress I think is a bit wast of time that has to search up the things I don’t understand, but is also good not sure what will come out and also learning the program at the same time. This exercise might not be related to my project, be this will be a good method for creating something new.
This week is about found object and used by the artist to create art. I might miss understanding this theme for this exercise. At the start, I was thinking to find an object and being creative of the object. I was planning to use the Leap Motion to hold the eraser and created the mass, the opposite of the user of the eraser. Then I was thinking to make the eraser to grown and splat as ink, but it was too hard to code it become particles. I end up with the outcome that I’m not expecting, so I continue to develop the exercise with building a game of the eraser, make it clickable but also include coding. Then I stop wondering around the code to make it active, I start to make it as a 3d animation. Show how the eraser how it returns to rubber form and turn back to an eraser. However, found object this actual is related to what I’m making in my practice, in my game have two different worlds and player have to use sprite mask to find the path between two worlds and the key to passing the levels. I’ll use the found object to continue to develop with my platform design.
This week is about space designated or available for being used by someone or something. This week exercise I was going to develop with my studio project, but I haven’t settle with the plot. So I combine my studio 1 project with the ideas of two different environments into this exercise. I start the exercise without planing, I just think what might be related to the character and add up the object as a layer. I like the outcome even I didn’t finish it. I’ll continue this method to develop more places design, even this not related to my studio project.
This week is about the different relationship that object that we have no control of. At the start, I was a bit confused, but Evan explains for me. Then I just start watching a video and see how this object is created, then after watching the video I just start drawing straight away. Then I used the outline art from week 1 ideas to show the different objects, and color present as the relationship of the objects. It feels like I'm observed the relationship of the object and recall it into my own style of presenting it. I like the outcome of the exercise, and I think if this is the relationship between human and animals are more relevant toward my work project.
