In response to the theme object-oriented ontology, I used illustration to create a group of mushroom structure diagrams.
The silhouettes of these mushrooms are combined with real-life objects, such as cells, leaves, flowers and human organs. Fungi themselves are magical creatures with strong vitality. They exist in the micro-world and the macro world. They often form beautiful patterns in the micro-world. But in our life, the most common fungus is mushrooms, which have unique shapes and different colors. I created some derivatives of mushrooms by combining large or small creatures and mushrooms in the real world. Perhaps for some creatures, these mushrooms are like the image in the painting, a tree, a flower, or an organ. I hope to make people think that the same object may have different meanings for different creatures.
Similar works were created by artist Amy gross. Mushrooms and various fungi often appear in her works. She is used to using the combination of hand embedded and beaded fiber sculptures to create works. Her works show a unique beauty by combining different creatures in nature, including rich and harmonious colors and different textures of different materials. Her works always focus on showing the charm of nature.
