CPS Week4 Jingyi Zhang

The theme of this week reminded me quickly of my kindergarten nightmare-Ultraman. Every night boys watched Ultraman's video in front of the TV. I am afraid of the huge monster and the damage it caused to the city. So Ultraman's film has affected almost my entire childhood. Until I saw that the urban scene explaining Ultraman was made through paper models, and I was really relieved that "all the buildings were not really pulled down, and it was nice people do not need to rebuild their house."

So the theme of this week, I will take a photo in reality, and all the objects in this photo will be part of the story. I will show the huge creatures through drawing. This will be a story of "the huge creature landed in Qingdao and it is about to destroy everything in front of it".

In response to the theme of Discussions of Place, I took a photo of my window view and used Procreate to draw a picture of a monster about to destroy the city. I chose to take pictures to add imaginative details on the basis of real life, and with this work to get closer to my life from my window view. Unlike my childhood, now I fantasize about non-existent creatures and unknown things and expect them to happen in real life. By combining the photo and the drawing, I want to express the possibilities of the space. I got inspired by ULTRAMAN, the monster, and the Ultraman fight scene. The giant robot hits the building, the monster running and the floor is shaking, camera angles from the people on the ground, and comparing with the monster…the building breaks, and the battle of the huge characters makes the real-world space smaller.
