In response to the theme of rules and forces, I made serval pixel characters for my little rogue of World of Warcraft Classic.
The rules:in pixel/the size will be limted in 64*64, once I finish it, the size will be reduced by half (32*32), until it can no longer be reduced.
I want to explore pixel art in different resolution ratio, find the most important feature of character. I see it challenging, and very intertesting. Espically when it was limted in an extreme small size, it even push me to find a symbol beyond the character itself to represent it. It give me a sense of 'Freedom under limit'. So in last size, I made a simple icon to represent the skill -Hemorrhage. I believe it can represents my rogue because it's my most frequently used skill in PVP.
Many classic games on Game Boy have inspired me, such as Pokemon series. Although the resolution ratio is limited in 160 * 144 and only four colors can be used, they still have excellent picture performance, which help me learn how to scale down details and find the important features.
