In response to the theme of Characters and Events, I have developed a scene which came from my studio 1 project. I created a field to slow down movement speed of my character and made an ability for my boss to summon lasers to damage player.

By creating this scene, I have tried to develop boss’s skill not only be a part of boss but also as a part of environment. The lasers are working together with speed-slowdown field which is another impact from environment to limit movement of player and damage player at same time.

My inspiration came from boss battle The Radiance and boss battle Hornet in video game Hollow Knight which are both comblining the skills of bosses with environment to interact with player character. These two examples were providing me some ideas about how the lasers are going to damage and limit player character in my own game.
