Master Of Animation, Games & Interactivity

In response to the theme of ‘Character and Events’, I made an animation of a human whose body has adapted and grown to suit their environment. I used Clip Studio Paint.

By imagining the human body in this way, I made the dynamic relationship between character and environment explicit physically. I reimagined myself as the prime biological being for my environment, to reflect on the way I utilise my body - the actions being the ‘events’ which causes the body in the animation to change. .

Similar work has been produced by digital and sculptural artist Anthromorph. Their work explores the dynamic nature of the body, and embraces the connection between flesh and the environment around it. This fluid relationship between body and environment mirrors the dialogue between character and environment.
