In response to the theme Rules and Forces, I drew three images, exploring 1+1=?, in the world of color.
Rules:
1.do it with my left hand
2.Only circles and curves can be used
3.Up to 2 colors can appear at the same time
I drew three pictures on the iPad, and through the screen recording, I made them into short animations.
The first animation shows the moment when the sun is blocked by the waves, and also expresses the concept that 1+1=3. Since blue + red =purple, to be more specific, purple is a mixture of blue and red. So although purple appears in this image, in fact I only used blue and red, so this does not violate my third rule: only two colors appear at the same time.
In the second animation, I want to express that 1+1=0. This concept is expressed by showing that two different colors "disappeared" (becoming the same color as the background) when they are close to each other.
In the third animation, I adjusted the transparency of the colors so that even if there are only two colors, a colorful picture can be produced. This is 1+1=∞.
Similar work is animation Zima Blue in Love, Death & Robots(https://youtu.be/YvwuX_WeJ7w), which tells that the protagonist Zima is a famous artist, and each of his paintings has a blue square in the center. The extreme use of blue in the film gave me great inspiration, so I started to explore how to play with colors.
