CPS_ Week 8_ Time as material

Theme: Time as material

Method:

Time as a material can be applied in a variety of forms. For this week task, I decided to draw the growth stages when the character matures from a young age to an old age. I wanted to show how time passes by each time.

In these past few weeks, I realized that I was creating a lot of digital works. This time I decided to draw in a piece of paper. I wanted to make a bunch of drawings and start making my sketches look neat. This helped me in Studio 2 project to open up my hands and draw freely. For this task, I started drawing a baby girl crawling to a little girl standing on her feet, and the stage of a teenager, a parent, and then to an old age.

Context:  My biggest inspiration for this task is Seok Jeong Hyeon, creates a beautiful time-lapse of the ageing process from infancy to old age by painting. I really got inspired by this man and decided to do something similar. Instead of creating a video, I thought of sketching in a piece of paper on how the character changes from time to time.
