Characters, Place and Events
Method:
There are no characters existing alone. Environment shapes creatures, and then creatures affect the environment. If the big bang of the universe delayed, perhaps we could never exist, or we could evolve becoming some highly intelligent organism. Who knows. We are the projection of the environment which defines who we are, what we look like and what we say. As an organic individual, I'm affected by all factors around myself. The experience I had and the environment I lived define behaviour and characters. So go back to the concept. The story started with alpacas. They look like camels but they have the wool of sheep. So I was wondering why they look so unique. Of course, they are the creatures environment. What if they travel to another habitat, are they still look the same? What could happen to them? Inspired by Chris, I had a concept that the alpaca will be deformed by environmental change. Alpacas live in South America mostly, where the weather is warm. So I decided to drive them to migrate to the coldest the place, like Russia.

The character's personality is a crucial part of creating engaging, believable and cute designs. It's not enough to have a beautiful character, but the audience should be able to connect their soul. Since the birth of mankind, people have remembered things By telling stories. So no wonder we are also looking for the personality and story behind the character - It's the foundation of the character's appearance.

A baa in the black screen at the last second was my favourite section. You could never know is that sheep deformed again or it still retains its appearance. In the short animated world, the alpaca is deformed by the environment extremely. It could become a dancing queen in a night club or an alien who is taking off the shell of alpaca. it's not necessary to discover the truth the world, instead, the blank for audiences to thinking or to add could be more interesting. Just like character design, it should be considered what made the character being that character rather than struggling with colour and size. It's not required to have a comprehensive setting to every character, they will shape themselves. The alpaca, in the animation, shrinks her neck becoming a sheep for getting warm. When a blizzard is coming, the wool is thicker. What is the trick of character design? An unexpected event.
