For my Studio 2 project, I looked at many different ideas, including movies and concepts that deal with the representation of emotions, as well as player to character interaction. My aim is to use emotion as a mechanic.
The Sims franchise is one of my references because it is a game that represents character emotions, their whole actions are affected by how they interact with each other, and the player is able to influence this outcome.
Inside out is a movie that represents emotions as characters, which is a good reference for my project.
MyBoo, Neopets and Chtulu are pets games, which are also a reference for my work, since I want it to have a very simple interface like those of these kinds of games, I want my character to be dependant of user interaction.
Gatebox Virtual home robot is also one of my biggest references, the character is always inside a box and the user is able to visualise this character that responds to their input, just by display of affection.
